They think they are working on the performance really good, because  they are working well together and also they think their group have very good cooperation. They will be finishing that this week. Finishing up in the Kitchen.

The Cookbook Group is creating an international cookbook.

This week the Cookbook Group is making a poster for their international cookbook. The poster will go on the display board at our Exhibition area in the g2-5 playroom. They are done with their cooking and their recipes and are now, preparing for their display and their performance on opening night.

The poster is about the recipes in the international cookbook, what types of food are they making and what countries.  There are recipes for Japanese, Korean, American, Hungarian and Danish food. They worked on it last week and it should be ready by the time this post is published.

They have selected all the recipes they will put into the cookbook. They have given the recipes to Mrs. Wretham, who  is helping them to format the recipes. She is  giving them lots of ideas about how to format them. We are sure it is going to be a great cookbook.

They are making poster that they are going to put it on the Exhibition board.

This is what the poster looks like.

Cookbook Group Learns 3 Things

The Cookbook Group is creating an international cookbook.

The Cookbook Group made a lot of delicious foods this week like sushi from Japan and Ttuk Bok Yi (rice cake with spicy sauce) from Korea. The Cookbook Group made a lot of other delicious foods and let grade 5 students try them. They are also going to make a book that teaches us how to make  those delicious foods. They have chosen 5 dishes from each country to include in their cookbook. They are doing a poster of the dishes.  We’ll all be learning to cook with the Cookbook Group through their recipe book.

The Cookbook Group has learned a lot about cooking. Here’s a list of three things they learned so far.

  1. How to roll sushi
  2. Cooking requires patience
  3. Ingredients can be hard to find

We hope their group will keep cooking and let us taste all their yummy foods!

Cookbook Week 2

In our exhibition we have a cookbook group. They are making an international cookbook.

Now they are cooking food from their home country. They have cooked miso soup and chocolate glaciers. They have already let some of the G5 student taste them.

The teachers and students who tried the dishes all thought the dishes were really delicious. The group also asked the testers for suggestions to improve to make the dishes even yummier. They will let different  people comment on their dishes each time.

In this photo, Anjali and Zoe are helping Sidney to cook.

In this photo, Sidney is making American food. She is mixing marshmallows, butter and chocolate crispy rice together to make rice krispie treats.
