The children are working hard on their assessment task for the Caring for the Ocean unit. They have chosen to work independently, with a friend or in a small group and are making everything from books, to posters and games. We will be sending home an invitation to the Ocean Exhibition very soon, where they will share their knowledge on how to care for the ocean. Here they are busy at work!

WHEN:Wednesday  23 May

BUSES TO CONCERT: The buses will be leaving Ao Cheng at 5:15pm and Lake Park at 5:30pm

*The children need to be at school at 6:00pm if possible.

*They need to  come to the classroom wearing their BLACK PANTS and BLACK SHOES. (There is no need to worry about a yellow T-shirt if you don’t have one. We have yellow shirts for the children to wear. Any t-shirt will be fine.)

START Time N-2 Performance: 6:30 – 7:15

INTERVAL: 7:15 – 7:30

After the performance all N-2 parents will need to go to the library to collect their child/ren. The children in N-2 will stay with parents from 7:15 onwards. They will NOT return to classrooms as there will be no teacher supervision. If you are planning to stay for the 3-5 performance, it maybe a good idea to keep a seat free next to you for the older student performance.

IMPORTANT: There are NO buses at 7:15. Parents will need to organise their own transportation if they are planning to leave at that time.

START TIME 3-5 performance: 7:30 -8:15: .

BUSES AFTER CONCERT: Ao Cheng and Lake Park departing at 8:25pm

NOTE: We have been told that the children DO NOT need to wear their black trousers and shoes for the dress rehearsal this Friday, 18 May.

As usual thank you for your support. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

The children thoroughly enjoyed the science experiment today where they investigated ways to remove oil from water to rescue their ocean animal. After trying several different materials they discovered that a sponge worked best. Even with their greatest effort, they could not remove all the oil but most groups managed to remove most of it. It really gave them an understanding of how animals in the ocean would have to live after an oil spill. Please be sure to ask your child about what they discovered.
