Just a quick reminder that we have Assembly tomorrow!  This assembly is hosted by the Specialty classes and Nursery will be performing a song/dance that they have learned in PE class.  I hope you all can attend!  Also, please remember to bring in 3-5 photos of your child as a baby/toddler so we can begin making our Growth posters next week!  Some parents have mentioned that they don’t have any more baby clothes to donate or the ones they have they want to keep.  I recommend going to E-mart and purchasing an infant/toddler outfit (for about 20 yuan) that you can send to school for donation.  We will still use that outfit for your child to try on as part of our unit!  Thank you for all your support!

What a busy week!  I enjoyed meeting with all of you for parent teacher conferences on Monday and Tuesday evening.  Wednesday we celebrated UN Day and everyone looked amazing in their national dress.  Thank you to all the mom’s who helped us carry our lunches back to our shared room and the lunch provided by the PFO was delicious!  On Thursday we welcomed a new student, Vagner, who has settled in nicely.  We now have 14 boys and 2 girls in Nursery!  Friday we celebrated Halloween where we sang spooky songs, did the monster mash, made jack-o-lanterns, and enjoyed spook-tacular cupcakes provided by Landen’s mommy!  It was a busy busy week and it went very smoothly thanks to the cooperation of all the parents involved.  Thank you so much for your support and involvement!  Enjoy the pics!

This week we read a few stories about sharing and taking turns with our friends and then practiced sharing during outside playtime through out the week.  We painted, colored pictures, and learned numbers 1-10 in Chinese!  A big thank-you to Ms. Ayeza who has been volunteering in our class!  Have a great weekend!

We had a great start to the school year this year!  We welcomed 2 girls to the class, Zoe and Lee, and we had a lot of fun adding fish to our aquarium, exploring the learning areas, and getting into routines!  Well done!

This year in Nursery is going to be a very active and lively one!  Our class consists of 11 boys and 0 girls (can you believe it)!!!!  The learning areas are ready to be explored; the book area has lots of interesting books, and the instruments in the music area are itching to be played!  I look forward to meeting and greeting our returning friends on Monday, and our new friends will join us on Tuesday!  Have a great weekend!
