In Chinese class we are learning about inventions. We are integrating this unit with the homeroom. We found out about four major Chinese Inventions and worked in groups and shared information with each other. Now we are learning about other Chinese inventions.

We continued working on our family unit. We practiced the Chinese characters and explored ancient Chinese characters related to family. We discovered some interesting things about how the characters were developed. We also learned about antonyms.
We talked about color. We liked coloring pictures using different colors and we wrote the Chinese characters for colors. We read the little book about color and even made our own color book.
We are now learning about color. We played color games in the Chinese classroom. We learned a beautiful Chinese song about color and we also enjoyed learning a dance.
In the migration unit we talked about the reasons for human migration. We interviewed our family and IST Chinese staff about their migration. We put our results in a Venn diagram to show the similarities and differences.
