We talked about color. We liked coloring pictures using different colors and we wrote the Chinese characters for colors. We read the little book about color and even made our own color book.

In Chinese class we are learning about family members. We can name different family members in Chinese and read little books about family members. We even learned how to write Chinese characters. We also love the interesting Chinese story read by Fu lao shi.

Introduction of first unit

IST students celebrated Chinese new year from Jan 16th to 20th. We had puppet show, dough figure, kite making and making dumpling during the week. We had temple fair at the end of week. The students really enjoyed it.
Chinese Singing Competition

We had Chinese Singing Competition (K-2) in Chinese classroom on march 14th, 15th, 16th, 2011. We invited Chinese staff as judge. The students chose their favorite song. They really enjoyed it!
