What’s Happening in Grade 2?
We Have Been learning…
We have continued with our UOI on Systems. Last week we read a story called ‘Dave the Potter’ which told the story of a man who made pottery. It was a great read aloud! Then we looked at some pots that Ms. Ashton bought in to show us. These pots were old and had stuck to the saggers they were placed in before they were fired in the kiln. Saggers are big rough clay pots that protect the unfired clay pots from ash and prevent it from losing its shape in the kiln. We hope you enjoy the pictures.
Library
Due to Water Fun Day we will be having library on Wednesday morning this week. It will be the last time students can checkout for the year. Please ensure your child returns all library books this week.
Up and Coming…
Spring Show
This Monday and (possibly) Tuesday, students will have a dress rehearsal for the Spring Show which is this Wednesday 22nd May. A reminder that costumes are full length jeans and a bright t-shirt/top. Grade 2 students will need to meet us in the classrooms at 6:00pm on Wednesday wearing their jeans and shirt. The boys will need to go to the 2H room and the girls to the 2A room. Students will be supplied with vests (boys) and sequin tops (girls).

Please come along and help raise money for John’s treatment. There are buses going to the school from Ao Cheng and Lake Park. Please see the poster below for further details.
