Widgets are tools to help us display information. We get a default organization of information in our sidebars. But if you want to rearrange, add or take away some of the information displayed widgets will do that. It’s as simple as dragging and dropping. This video shows us how.

Hi Tod,
I have a widget that displays my pages on the left column. This is redundant and I would like to delete them from that location. Advise? I definitely did go to the dashboard>widgets, but was unable to drag them away.
John
Hi, John. It was your default settings that were displaying pages in your left sidebar (Sidebar 1) and in your header.
The solution is to remove the default settings by putting widgets in your sidebars. When you put widgets in your sidebars, they replace default settings with your drag ‘n drop settings. You were not using any widgets, so I went in and duplicated your sidebar organization with widgets but I left out the Pages widget. Now your pages only display in the header. I think it looks better. How about you?
And don’t forget. Add links to the library OPAC to your sidebar so your students can access it easily.
Don’t know how? I posted a tutorial here:
